Abstract
The paper aims to contribute to the conceptualization of the Innovation Ecosystem on the one hand by distinguishing ‘innovation’ from ‘innovativeness’, while on the other hand by proposing a multi-theoretical argument about the latter notion. The contribution is explicitly taking a normative stance; it emphasizes that the approach of Innovation Ecosystem should be understood as a historically contextualized possibility (tendency) to progressively overcome the capitalist structure and its pathologies.
